435 million cedis School block commissioned

Gomoa Mangoase (C/R) Dec. 12 GNA-This District Chief Executive for Gomoa, Madam Joyce Aidoo has assured Ghanaians that the government has put in place a machinery to make "Primary Education Fee-free with meals" in most of the poorly and deprived communities.

The DCE gave the assurance when she commissioned a 435 million cedis six classrooms block an office and store, constructed under the HIPC benefit at Gomoa Mangoase for the children in the area. Madam Aidoo said that 77 new school blocks have been built in the district, adding that it now rest on parents to ensure that their children attend school to help improve the fallen standard of education in the area.

She announced that the district had taken delivery of 35,100 exercise books to be distributed to schools.

Mr. Joe Baffoe, who deputized for the district director of Education, Mrs. Emma Quarcoo, advised the community to take good care of the facility to prolong its lifespan.

The traditional authorities in appreciation of the good work of the DCE coffered on her the title of "Nkosowhenema" of the area. 12 Dec. 04
