Accra, March 24, GNA - Samsung Ghana has launched Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge onto the Ghanaian market to give customers an opportunity to experience unique features in smartphones.

The launch which was held in Accra was to exhibit how the devices could break the rules of what a smart phone could do, hence the tagline 'Rethink what a smartphone can do'.

Mr Jaspreet Singh, Director of IT and Mobile at Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) said: 'At Samsung, we have an unwavering commitment to improve consumer experience with every device we introduce.

'Our latest addition to the Galaxy S range, the S7 and S7 Edge have been carefully crafted to reset the rules of the smartphone game,' he said.

Mr Tetteh Akornor, Product Manager of SEWA said among the features of the smartphone are its ability to stay on water with a depth of five feet for 30 minutes without any damage to their design and functionality.

'Pictures and videos can even be taken with these devices under water which will make users stress free lifestyle whenever they come close to a body of water,' he said.

Mr Akornor noted that the phones running on powerful processors handle additional data on the micro SD card slot, which takes up to 200 gigabytes, adding that users could get up to 15 per cent discounts from more than 10 partner shops.

Ms Tracy Kyei, Marketing Manager of Samsung Ghana told the GNA in interview that the company does not always try to be on top of innovation when it comes to smartphones but however always think of how to satisfy the needs and demands of its customers.

She disclosed that the Galaxy S7 Edge is sold at GH₵ 3,200.00 while the Galaxy Edge is sold at GH₵ 2,800.00.
