Kumasi, Dec. 9, GNA - Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kumasi Metropolis are gearing up for a massive NPP victory celebration at the realisation that victory was just around the corner. Pockets of women at the Kejetia Terminal and at the Central Market in full Party regalia have already set the tone for the victory celebration by dancing and extolling the virtues of President john Agyekum Kufuor.
Supporters of the Party in the Metropolis have adopted a new catchword - Heii! - Which they claim is used in the northern part of the country to drive elephant into the bush and which the supporters of opposing parties used to deride the NPP. At every corner, the catchword is "Heii" but this time to indicate that the elephant had refused to go into the bush. Commercial activities, which went into a lull on Tuesday and Wednesday as a result of the election, bounced back on Thursday.
