The Len Clay stadium - home of Ghanaian side Ashantigold has been cleared to host matches in the CAF Champions League this year.

The miners are billed to host Algerian side MO Bejaia in the first leg tie on February 14.

The continent governing body, CAF has given the Ghanaian champions the greenlight to host matches in Obuasi.

'There are conditions you have to meet when you are playing the preliminaries and there are also conditions you have to meet when you are playing the group stages,' club's Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo told Accra-based Joy FM.

'For now we are playing the preliminary matches and I can say the stadium is ready.

'When we make it to the group stages, then we have to fix the media center, security, first aid post and others that will make the stadium acceptable for group matches."
