NDC has nothing to deliver to Ghanaians, says Adjei-Darko

Sunyani, Nov 14, GNA - Mr Kwadwo Adjei-Darko, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had nothing to offer Ghanaians and appealed to the electorates not to give their mandate especially to the party's flag-bearer Prof John Atta Mills.

He said the NDC administration planted the seed of unemployment for eight years and that the party stood to spell doom for the nation if it was voted to power again.

Mr Adjei-Darko, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, said this at the handing-over ceremony of the Sunyani Polytechnic branch of Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives at Sunyani on Saturday.

He said the nation had all the resources for development but the NDC's bad administration led the country to abject poverty before NPP took over.

The Minister therefore advised Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP to ensure continuity of good services to the country in terms of distribution of the national cake irrespective of their political affiliation.

Mr Kwasi Agyeman Manu, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, said even though the NPP would win the December elections there was the need for its members to step up their mobilization efforts to attract more people to the party to ensure a landslide victory. Swearing in the newly elected executives Mr Kwame Twumasi, a Sunyani-based legal practitioner, appealed to the executives to work hard to ensure that the party retains power in the December elections.

Mr Djan Manu, the new president, commended the NPP government for a number of development projects initiated for the institution and pledged to work hard to ensure a total victory for the party in the elections. 14 Nov 04
