Dwarfs beat Wise 1-0

GNA

Cape Coast, Nov. 14, GNA- Ebusua Dwarfs confirmed their superiority over Sekondi Wise-Fighters when they beat them 1-0 in a second round Division One League (DOL) match played at Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Saturday.

Dwarfs won the first leg 2-1 at Sekondi Gyandu Park. Playing under the instructions referee Eric Owusu-Mensah from Kumasi, Dwarfs attacked first and kept their opponents' vital area boiling until the 16th minute when centre forward, Ekow Aikins, scored the opener and winner.

Aikins dashed into the vital area of their opponents, after picking a pass in midfield and released a shot, which hit the bar before entering the net.

The early goal gave Dwarfs the tonic to dictate the pace but their forwards wasted all the chances that came their way.

Wise-Fighters found their feet in the second half and subjected Dwarfs to heavy bombardment, but they lacked the ability to convert their chances and equalise until the referee ended proceedings.
