Central Region Muslims celebrate Eid ul Fitr

GNA

Cape Coast, Nov. 13, GNA - Thousands of Muslims in Cape Coast and its surrounding communities converged at the Holy Child School's park this morning for special prayers to mark the end of the feast of Ramadan.

The regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan in his address advised Muslims not to allow themselves to be used by any group of people to engage in any negative act during this year's electioneering campaign.

He urged them to vote based on their conscience and never to be deceived to make wrong choices, since they have the right to cast their own votes.

Mr Muniru Arafat Nuhu, Municipal Chief Executive, also called on Muslims to ensure that they stay peacefully with their neighbours at all times and engage in activities that will always promote peace and understanding.

Prayers were said for the nation for peaceful elections and for those in authority.
