We’ll Deal With Criminals This X’mas – Police
The Ghana Police will be robust and ruthless on criminals whose aim is to disturb the peace of the country during the Christmas season.
The Service has warned criminals who take advantage of the festive season to dupe citizens as well as embark on pick-pocketing spree will face the wrath of the law.
“We want to send a strong signal to all criminally minded people that the police are watching them,” the Greater Accra regional commander COP Dr. George Dampare served notice through the media on Tuesday.
He also added the police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has outlined measures to ensure free flow of vehicular traffic in the capital, Accra.
“We have also increased the number of MTTD personnel for the purposes of traffic management with greater emphasis on ensuring free flow of traffic while at the same time ensuring that breaches of the law are also addressed,” COP Dr Dampare stated.
He added: “Currently all the district and divisional commanders who are not directly involved in the management of traffic have been tasked to be out there to support the MTTD officers to ensure that we increase our presence in the area of traffic management.”
