Ghana Must Work Again By The Veterans Youth Association

Ghana Must Work Again By The Veterans Youth Association
26.11.2015 LISTEN

Ghana from its birth have been blessed by nature with almost all the natural resources and labour and to what reason must Ghana suffer?

Could it be due to:
1. Bad governance
2. Mismanagement of state resources
3. Misappropriation of state funds
4. Selective injustice
5. Corruption etc.

Describing today's youth leaves me with the impression that tomorrow is a treat to national development. The main hope of a nation lies in the proper education if its youth and available job opportunities after school and the judicious management of state and natural resources to the betterment of the present Ghana and generations unborn. If this is true then why is Ghana suffering upon all the resources and donor supports we receive?

With this continues power cuts and load shedding popularly known as “dumsor dumsor” where very unfortunately promises upon promises have not been fulfilled from the first gentleman of the land is unacceptable.

'Me ma mu dumsor oooo'
Ye ji mo so yaa Mahama
What actually are the unanswered questions on the dumsor

1. Is it lack of funds to buy crude?
2. Is it lack of technical personnel?
3. Is the power badge upon arrival going to be operated or powered with the sea water or with crude ........ hmm
4. Is it that we don't have enough installed capacity?

Your guess is as good as mine.
(a) Hair dressers don't have power to work
(b) Welders are suffering
(c) Phone repairers are crying
(d) Tailors and seamstresses are sleeping on their sewing machines
(e) TV and radio repairers are now draft players
(f) Companies are collapsing and laying off workers etc.

So where did Ghana go wrong?

Do we really have a president in Ghana?

'Ghana Aye Din oooo'
'Ghana Esese Ntor'
'Ghana Emi Ewa'

Allowances to the colleges of health and education as introduced by the previous governments to cushion parents and subsequently supports these students to afford their basic educational needs have been scrubbed off by the present John Dramani Mahama government.

Did Ghana hear the president through the education ministry announced that public institution should pay for their own utilities?

Where is the 'I care for you' and 'Better Ghana' that was promised us by the NDC.

The future of the Ghanaian youth are seriously at stake and no wonder the youth are now joining the ISIS.

With massive corruption under the incompetent dead goat government is no good story to talk about. The SADA, SUBA, GYEEDA, DVLA, National Service, RLG, Brazil 2014, Payment of dubious judgement debt etc. to list just a few have been described by the supreme court of Ghana as 'create loot and share'.

The 2016 budget is very alarming considering the economic growth in Ghana. Ex-President John Agyekum Kuffuor of the New Patriotic Party fame left office in 2008 with a GDP growth of 9.1% without almighty oil. It dropped to 4.8% under the NDC government and subsequently grew from 7.9% to 14.0% when Ghana started mining oil in commercial quantities. With the same oil economy coupled with natural resources, domestic revenue and donor supports with gargantuan borrowing the economy dropped from 14.0% in 2011 to as low as 4.1% in 2015. What an incompetent president and government Ghana really have.

Agricultural growth is even very shameful declining from 4.6% in 2014 to 0.04% in 2015. Statutory payments are in arrears. Government is unable to provide chalk, lesson notes, text books etc. to basic schools.

Ghana as we stand now is a HIPC state. What actually is wrong ..... 'Sika Nu Wo Hi' Mahama?

I am saddened when the Mahama government refers to their infrastructural development but I take solace in what Mahama said that all infrastructural development falls under 'mediocrity'.

Can the NDC point at just a single social intervention program in their 8 years rule? Reference can be made to the NPP led President Kuffor's administration on several social intervention programs which includes:

1. Affordable housing
2. School feeding
3. NHIS
4. Free Maternity health care
5. Metro Mass Transport
6. Youth employment
7. National Identification Authority
8. Capitation grant
9. Free transport for school children
10. Masloc
11. Leap etc.

Should the NDC only be known of winning national elections and after imposing hardship and hunger on its citizens by creating looting and sharing state funds among families and cronies?

As a youth leader and a member of various youth groups, should the nation continue to keep the NDC in government which they are best known of, Ghana will be the worse country with a high poverty rate and bad economy in the sub-region and the globe as a whole.

I therefore call on all Ghanaians, well-meaning Ghanaians to read in-between the lines and seek for the progress and future development of Ghana by voting for the right party with vision, freedom in development.... vote for Nana Addo.....vote for the NPP....... vote for progress....... vote for the future....... vote for youth development.

Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and the NPP are the hope for Ghana. Nana Addo says I am incorruptible and cannot be corrupted and will punish in my administration any found corrupt official.

1. Nana Addo will rebuild Ghana
2. Nana Addo will restore allowance to colleges on education and health
3. Nana Addo will end the dumsor
4. Nana Addo with Bawumia will restore the economy

Nana Addo Nie ......................... Anidaso Nie
Nana Addo Nie ......................... Nkosuo Nie
Nana Addo Nie ......................... Sika Nie
Nana Addo Nie ......................... Asomdwe Nie

You as a Ghanaian vote Nana Addo and the NPP come 2016 for Freedom in Development.

Thank you.
