KNUST launches trade and technology fair

Kumasi, Oct 28, GNA- The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has launched a maiden trade fair dubbed: "Trade and Technology Fair (TRATECH 2004).

The fair organised by the Students Representative Council (SRC) was on the theme: "Scientific and Technological Advancement, an Indispensable Tool for Sustainable Development".

Miss Esther Ofori, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited, said in a speech read on her behalf that Information Technology was the driving force behind sustainable growth. Mr. Thomas Nyarko-Ampem, President of the SRC, said the fair served as an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity.

He expressed optimism that TRATECH would grow to become a national success story.
