Reject NDC in December election

Brofoyedru (Ash), Oct 26, GNA- Mr Kobina Tahir Hammond, Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi-Asokwa, has called on the electorate not to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December election.

He said the party with its flagbearer, Professor J.E.A. Mills has nothing better to offer Ghana.

Mr Hammond, who is also the Deputy Minister for Energy, was addressing a rally at Brofoyedru in the newly created Adansi North District of Ashanti on Sunday.

He said the NDC has nothing to offer to the nation and that the electorate should not listen to its campaign of lies.

He appealed to the people to vote again for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) so that it could continue to enjoy the number of development projects being implemented in the constituency.

Mr Hammond pledged the government's commitment to the improvement of farmers' conditions in the area.

The MP said the government had not failed them when they were asked to vote for positive change in the year 2000 elections. He stressed on peaceful elections and urged the electorate and followers of all the political parties to be mindful of acts that could endanger the peaceful conduct of the polls.

Mr Kwabena Ameyaw, constituency chairman of the NPP, advised party members to get more people to join it since they needed more votes in the December elections.
