OCT 28, 2015 LISTEN

Eric Adusah, the UK-based pastor accused of murdering his British wife, has been discharged by a District Magistrate Court.

The court presided over by judge Mavis Ekua Enyamah Kwainoe discharged the accused after state prosecutors served notice on Wednesday they were no longer interested in the case.

According to Starr News’ court correspondent Wilberforce Asare, the prosecution adduced that the evidence it has does not implicate the pastor hence its disinterest in the case.

The judge has therefore ordered that the body of the deceased Charmaine Speirs be released immediately to Pastor Adusah for burial.

Pastor Adusah has been on bail since June this year.

The 28-year-old Ghanaian Pastor was held behind bars for the alleged murder of his British wife, Speirs at a hotel in Koforidua, in the Eastern region.

The prosecution contended that Pastor Adusah, between March 18 and March 20, 2015, at Mac Dic Royal Plaza Hotel in Koforidua, allegedly caused the death of Speirs by unlawful harm.

The couple got married in September 2014 in the UK after a whirlwind romance.
