Dentaa Receives Young Professional Awards

Dentaa Amoateng, CEO of the Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards, has been adjudged the Young Professional Role Model in Business by the Young Professionals and Youth Coalition (YPYC) in Accra.

The citation reads: 'Business innovation and creativity are your major attributes, which attributes combine to drive industry and technology. Your dexterity was fully exhibited when you organised the GUBA awards introducing new dimensions hitherto unknown from which may draw lessons and inspiration."

In acceptance of her award, Dentaa stated: “GUBA always strives to inspire the younger generation for success. We do this out of the love for Ghana therefore, it is always a surprise and pleasure to have our efforts recognized”

The awards seek to nurture new leaders to propel the socio-economic transformation in Ghana and other countries on the continent. The award ceremony, the seventh in the series was on the theme: “Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders for Africa’s Transformation.”

Mr Andy Osei Okrah, the President and Founder of YPYC, said the organisation had strived to present winners, who reflected the best of industry standards and capable of standing competition on the global stage. He added that the annual awards scheme had reignited the ‘can do spirit’ in the youth.

The YPYC observed that it was imperative for the community at large to continue to strive for excellence in order to inspire the Ghanaian youth to aspire for higher and continue to make the nation great and strong.

Other awardees include Mr Kwame Sefa Kayi, host of the Kokrokoo morning show on Peace FM, Dr Kofi Osei-Kusi, CEO of the Osei Kusi Foundation and Nana Kwame Bediako, CEO of Pretonia City and Wonda Estates Limited.

Ms Nadia Ismaila, CEO of British International School was awarded the Young Professional Female personality 2015.

Three organisations were also awarded namely World Vision International, the overall Young Professional Role Model Organisation, Samara Group Limited, Young Professional Role Model in Business Organization and Marie Stopes International, Young Professional Role Model in Education.
