Jasikan (V/R), Oct. 22, GNA - Mr. Solomon Donkor, Jasikan District Chief Executive (DCE) on Thursday said the District had fashioned-out mechanisms for a smooth take-off of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in earnest.
Disclosing this to the Ghana News Agency at Jasikan, Mr Donkor said both human capacity and office infrastructure had been procured towards the launch of the Scheme in the district.
He said 161 registration officers and 72 revenue collectors have been trained.
Mr. Donkor said about 95 percent of houses in the district has been coded adding that the remaining five percent, which constituted communities at the over-banks and peninsulas of the Volta Lake were receiving urgent attention.
The DCE said the Assembly had also facilitated the formation of NHIS Committees in the electoral areas and at the Unit levels to deepen the decentralization of the scheme. 22 Oct. 04
