NDC UK & Ireland Chapter Calls For Calm In NPP

The NDC UK & Ireland Chapter are saddened by the clashes that erupted at the NPP headquarters earlier this morning which has led to some people injured and also destruction of properties.

We are therefore calling on all NPP members especially the youth to remain calm and comply with the government security forces to ensure that peace returns to the headquarters where the clashes occurred.

We are by this press statement advising the youth of our dear nation not to avail themselves to be used to cause violence. We are also calling on the leadership of the party especially Nana Addo to provide leadership that can bring peace to the NPP so that we can have vibrant and productive opposition in Ghana to ensure that our democracy is strengthened.

Members of UK & Ireland Chapter of the NDC wish to commend Ghana police and the security forces in general for their prompt response to avert what could have been a potential security threat to our nation.

It is worth noting that, the immense investment in the security forces by the commander in chief of our armed forces, His excellency president Mahama and the NDC government have yielded positive results. We appreciate the efforts of the government for continuing to provide safe and secured Ghana for all of us.
