Elmina, Oct. 16, GNA - The government is soon to introduce new guidelines for the distribution of pre-mix fuel to streamline its distribution and ensure that adequate amounts of the fuel reach all fishing communities.
The Minister of Energy, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, gave the assurance at a 'people's forum' at Abreshyia near Elmina, on Friday, during which he explained government's policies and programmes to the people.
He said the government had also approved 100 million cedis to assist cocoa farmers in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem District who had embraced the cocoa Hi-Tech programme and urged all such farmers to form co-operatives to enable them to benefit from the package.
He commended farmers at Kissi and Agona for forming co-operatives saying that farmers in the area now understood the benefits of the programme.
