Youth Forum For The Development Of The Lambussie Karni District....Statement Lauding Mr Marcellinus Welber For Deciding To Contest The NDC Parliamentary Primaries In Lambussie

Members of the inky fraternity, we the leaders of the Youth Forum for the Development of the Lambussie Karni District, bring you greetings and good tidings from our teeming members, as we issue to you a statement in connection with the NDC Parliamentary Primaries in the Lambussie Karni Constituency.

We first of all wish to commend Mr. Marcellinus Welber, one of the contestants for his bold decision to contest the NDC Primaries and assure him of our unflinching support.

We have declared total support for Mr. Welber an accomplished administrator and lawyer because; he is an embodiment of humility, honesty, accountability and integrity. We see in him the caliber of leadership endowments that the District has yearned for and we are more than convinced that, the leadership qualities that he exudes as in being affable, humble and an ardent unifier braces him adequately to rake in transformational development to the Constituency and the District for that matter.

Apart from these commendable rare qualities that Mr. Welber is imbued with, he is a very committed and loyal member of the NDC who has contributed in no small way to the growth of the party in the Constituency and the country at large.

Unfortunately, today the New Patriotic Party appears to be gaining grounds in the Constituency and the NDC needs somebody like Mr. Welber to reverse the trend.

Mr. Welber started his political career long before he was appointed to the Lambussie/Karni Assembly in 2008. It is needless to chronicle his political activities in this statement as they are clearly verifiable. Indeed, Mr. Welber is a man of the grassroots. There is therefore no doubt that, if he is given the nod at the primaries, he will win the constituency seat convincingly for the NDC come 2016.

With simmering reports of constituency executives already taking sides with the incumbent MP, and maneuvering to have him go unopposed, we wish to send a signal to them to ensure a level playing field for all contestants in the race. They must avoid political shenanigans.

With a level playing field and a campaign devoid of shenanigans, we are very confident that Mr. Welber will be the choice of the people to retain the seat for the NDC in the 2016 general elections

Lastly we urge all contestants to do a clean campaign and not to engage in insults and frustrations. This will ensure that the losers support the winner at the end of the day and together, they will fight to retain the seat for the NDC. We are aware of plans to frustrate Mr. Welber or even get him disqualified from the race leading to the upcoming primaries. We are fully prepared to resist any diabolic plans by any person or group of persons from denying him an equal opportunity to serve his people.

Long live the NDC! Long live democracy! Long live the Lambussie Karni District!
