Efuah Ahwoi to contest Agona East NDC Primaries

Nsaba, Sept. 1, GNA - Mrs. Bram Efuah Larbi, A.K.A Maame Efuah Ahwoi, Director of Pre-School Care Givers Training Collage in Accra, has picked forms to contest the Agona East National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Primaries.

Maame Efuah Ahwoi, a Sister of the Ahwoi brothers, decided to contest the primaries to help liberate the Agona East NDC from being defeated in the Parliamentary elections in 2016.

Maame Ahwoi would contest the Primaries with Mr. Eric Turkson, Marketing Director of Dukes Petroleum Company and the incumbent MP, Mrs. Queenstar Pokuaa Sawyer, the Deputy Central Regional Minister.

The form was picked on behalf of Maame Efuah Ahwoi by some of her supporters, led by Mr Bawa Mumuni, Mankrong-Junction NDC Branch Organizer.

Alhaji Ibrahim Jabiru, the Agona East Chairman of the NDC, confirmed to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the incumbent MP, Mrs. Queenstar Pokwa Sawyer, Mr. Erick Turkson, and Maame Efuah Ahwoi had all picked their forms since nominations opened a week ago.

The Constituency Chairman called on the executives to stay neutral during their campaigns to ensure peace and stability in Agona East.

Spokesperson for Maame Efuah Ahwoi, Mr. Bawa Mumini, told the GNA that the reason for Maame Efuah Ahwoi picking forms to contest the primaries was to bring peace, unity, development to the area as well as the welfare of the entire NDC supporters in the constituency.

He said the contributions of Maame Efuah Ahwoi in the NDC in Agona East Constituency is not new, adding that, the aspiring Parliamentary candidate had already secured plots of land in all the 10 wards in the constituency for the construction of day care centers and health care services attach to them.

Mr. Bawa Mumuni called on the delegates in Agona East NDC to vote massively for Maame Efuah Ahwoi to enhance the peace and stability of the party in the 2016 elections.
