GJA President attends Ghana Expo 2004 Media Forum

Accra, Sept. 23, GNA - The President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Ms Ajoa Yeboah-Afari, is participating in the media component of Ghana Expo 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

A statement issued in Accra on Thursday by Mr Affail Monney, Deputy-General Secretary, said Ms Yeboa-Afari, who is also the Editor of the Ghanaian Times, would take part in a media symposium on the reporting of Africa by the Western media.

The event is being sponsored by CNN International with support from the Office of the Mayor of Atlanta.

Ghana Expo 2004 is a business, international, trade, investment and cultural affairs conference that has brought together more than 400 business, corporate executives and government officials to provide a showcase for Americans interested in pursuing business opportunities in Ghana and other parts of Africa.

The Special Guest of Honour is the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu. The Expo ends on September 26.
