The launching ceremony was attended by Mr. Mark-Oliver Kevor the Eastern region secretary of the NDC. In his speech, he commended UK and Ireland Chapter for their immense contribution to the NDC party and the government as a whole in propagating government policies and programs to Ghanaians in the diaspora.

He used the occasion to outline developmetal projects in the Eastern region.

According to Mr Kevor, 12 out of the 200 community day schools project are being built in the Eastern region, Six of them will be ready for use in September.

On roads, he stated that the dual carriage road from Accra through Suhum to Apedwa are being constructed together with 5km Kyebi township roads. Moreover, the road from Nkawkaw to Atibie is being expanded.

In terms of water projects,The NDC government has completed Kpong Water project, Kwahu water project , Kyebi water project among others in the Eastern region alone.

Kpong water project according to the Eastern region secretary of the NDC supplies water to Krobo and its environs and even some part of Accra including Adenta.

The Kyebi water project supplies water to Kyebi township and its environs including Apedwa , Asiakwa,Anyinam etc.

The launching of Agenda 50/50 which coincided with the North London branch general meeting was well attended by party members and well wishers in Agenda 50/50 and party paraphernalia.

Members including the chairman of the North London branch, Mr John Mensah in their solidarity messages pledged their support to Agenda 50 / 50 and promised to do all that they can to ensure that NDC wins at least 50% of the valid votes cast in Eastern region so that the region becomes the 9th region out of the 10 regions in Ghana NDC will win in 2016.
