NPP UK Confident Of Thomas Awuni Duanaab Victory In Bye Election

The New Patriotic Party UK takes this opportunity to wish our candidate Thomas AwuniDuanaab aka Homeboy well in the bye election to be held in Talensi the Upper East Region today.

We thank our Presidential Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia his running mate, National executives, regional executivesandpartymembers from other regions and constituencies for joining the campaign effort. Their commitment, dedication and hard workare a testament of the party’s determination to win the next election.

We are all witnesses to the NDC’s desperate vote buying antics which include the sharing of fertilizers, rice, sugar, cement and money. We are confident however that the people will see through their hypocrisy and vote wisely for Thomas to continue the good works of the previous MP Robert Mosore who is now the Chief of Tongo.

Reports of the Upper EastRegional police command dragging its feet to provide security and permission for our party to conduct our campaign left a lot to be desired. We are also concerned that it had to take a vigorous protest by our first National Vice Chairman Mr Freddie Blaybefore the names of Electoral Commission officialsconducting the elections were released contrary to Electoral laws!

We call on Mrs Charlotte Osei the new Electoral Commissioner to implementthe electoral reform recommendationsand heed to the call by majority of Ghanaians for a new voters register and urge her to prioritise this as a matter of urgency, so thattrust in our electoral process can be restored and for her to gain the confidence of Ghanaians ahead of Election 2016.
