Accra, Sept 2, GNA - The Meteorological Services Department, on Thursday said after this early morning misty and foggy conditions mainly over the sheltered areas have cleared off, the day would be mainly cloudy with longer sunny period.
However, there is the possibility of thunderstorms or rain showers over some parts of the Northern Sector, forest and hilly areas this afternoon and evening.
The Department said Northern Sector, forest and hilly areas this afternoon and evening and few areas along the coast will also benefit from occasional showers during the same period hence the night would be cold, quiet and comfortable becoming colder over the North.
Maximum and minimum temperatures were given as: coastal areas, between 30 and 23 degrees Celsius; forest and mountainous areas, between 29 and 22 degrees Celsius; and Northern Ghana, between 29 and 21 degrees Celsius.
