Accra, May 28, GNA - Access Bank has opened two new branches at Accra New Town and at Ho.

A statement issued by Head of Corporate Communications, Ms Matilda Asante Asiedu said the New Town branch is expected to cater for the needs of communities such as Kokomlemle, Mallam Atta Market, Pig farm and surrounding areas while the Ho branch would serve customers in and around communities such as Agotime Kpetoe, Amejope and Esikuma.

The statement said both branches would offer the Bank's full range of business and retail banking products including savings and current accounts, bills payment services, e-banking, card services as well as domestic and international money transfer through Western Union, Moneygram, Ria and Cross border.

'We set up these new branches in response to our customers' request and to bring our services closer to them. It is also consistent with our strategy of making banking services accessible to the underserved and unbanked,' the statement quoted Mr Stephen Abban, Access Bank's Group Head for Personal Banking as saying.

He said the Bank would roll out additional branches this year in line with its intelligent expansion programme in the country.

'By end of 2015, we shall have presence in all the 10 regions of Ghana with new forays in Bolgatanga and Wa, as well as additional branches in Dansoman, Haatso and other locations.'

The two branches brings the Bank's total network to forty-three business locations across the country since launching its banking operations in Ghana in 2009.
