Agona West Muslim women to benefit from soft loans

Agona Swedru, April 30, GNA - Mr Gibrine Tanko Toye, Vice Chairman of the Agona West Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has released 300,000 Ghana Cedis to three Rural banks to be disbursed to more than 400 Women in Zongo Communities within the Municipality to expand their businesses.

The three banks are the Nyakrom, Agona and Akyempim Rural Banks.

Mr Toye who made this known to the Media on Thursday at Agona Swedru said, the release of the substantial amount followed a passionate appeal made by the Zongo Women for financial assistance to boost their small-scale enterprises (SMEs), in order to support their children's education.

Mr Toye said these Zongo Women within the Municipality were in distress, and needed to be rescued financially to improve their businesses.

He said that the money would be revolved to enable others to benefit in future.

Mr Toye gave the assurance that an NPP government would ensure that Zongo women enjoyed healthy and better lives.

He, therefore, appealed to them to rally solidly behind the NPP to ensure victory for the party in the 2016 general elections.
