NIB donates to YAGBON Foundation

Accra, April 29,GNA - In line with its core values of contributing positively to the society, and supporting communities in which it operates, the National Investment Bank Limited (NIB) has donated an amount of GH¢20,000 to the Yagbon Foundation.

The gesture is to help the Foundation achieve its core objectives to propel an upward mobility in girl-child enrolment in schools, and widen access to science education for girls.

Mr Ernest Mawuli Agbesi, Managing Director of the Bank, who made the donation, said education was not only key to many opportunities in life, but it also helped to alleviate poverty.

The Yagbonwura, Sulemana Tuntumba Bori Essa, received the donation on behalf of the Foundation and thanked the bank for the kind gesture.

The Managing Director of NIB was accompanied by Mr Alex Amadu Gariba, General Manager, Risk, John Kweku Asamoah, General Manager Client Services and Robert Nii Lamptey, Acting Head of General Services and Purchasing.

The YAGBON FOUNDATION was founded by the King of Gonjaland, with the vision to accelerate school enrollment in Gonjaland and its environs, in order to promote balanced and sustainable development in the area.

Its mission is to provide financial support to needy, but brilliant pupils and students in Gonjaland.
