Mr Mhako said that the list will run under the Ngoda banner and as such, it will be prefixed with the word “Ngoda” under any category that will be entered into.

In Zimbabwe, Ngoda means rough diamond in Shona, which is one of the country’s local official national languages alongside Ndebele.

He added that the list which has already received an overwhelming response is the fruit of diligent consultation with various authoritative voices both locally and abroad.

“Our goal is to make the list as credible as we can and so in that respect our doors are open to more voices” Mr Mhako emphasized.

He also revealed that the general criteria adopted in this regard is to put into consideration the person’s influence, national relevance, international appeal and potential among others.
