Koforidua (E/R), April 7, GNA - The Koforidua Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah, has advised pastors who trade in miracles, prophesies and healing to stop because the practice was unbiblical.

He questioned: 'Jesus Christ and the early Christians pursued the healing ministry and performed miracles for free and without any conditions so why people are now being made to pay huge sums of money for oils, water and other substances for miracles in the church?

Apostle Miah was delivering a sermon to end a five-day convention of the Church, on the theme, "This Same Jesus", at Koforidua.

He warned fake pastors who were using demonic powers to perform magic in the house of God to stop avoid facing the wrath of God.

Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong, the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, said God had turned his eyes on Ghana and despite the economic and energy crises, the country would succeed.

She said the country was bound to face challenges, but through God's support, the country would overcome the challenges this year, emphasising that God would not forsake Ghana.

Ms Frimpong urged every Ghanaian to support the fight against corruption and indiscipline to help move the country from its current level of development to a much higher level.
