Amanase (E/R), April 6, GNA - The Kings and Queens Preparatory School at Amanase in the Eastern Region, has embarked on a school project, estimated at 9,500 Ghana Cedis, to help provide a decent, spacious and conducive atmosphere for learning.

'When completed, the project would help promote teaching and learning in the Suhum Municipality'.

The project comprises a six-classroom block, an office, store, staff common hall, urinal and toilet.

Madam Dinah Tome, Managing Proprietress of the school, said funds were being mobilized from school fees, bank loans and other internally generated funds.

She told the media that the school was ready to re-locate to a new site, to help end series of accusations leveled against it by some members of the community.

Under Ghana Education Service guidelines, schools are not supposed to be operated in rented premises, near a cemetery, fitting shops, refuse dump or water logged areas.

'But, the school would continue to deliver on its mandate, by providing quality education to school-going children of the rural communities,' Madam Tome stressed.
