Delay In The Payment Of Service Allowance

03.04.2015 LISTEN
By Orchill Prince David

National Service Personnel in the Bolgatanga Municipality are clearly unhappy with the happenings regarding the state of our allowance. Indeed, what is meant to be a learning process has turned out to be a Suffering ground.

For the past two months our allowance have not been paid. February and March has not been paid and currently we are in April. How do you expect personnel to survive under these difficult circumstances. We are suffering, Life have been made unbearable for us and indeed Government must do something about this precarious situation.

In fact, We have 48 Personnel for the month of November who has not receive their allowance, for the month of October 12 Personnel, For the month of December 24 Personnel and for the month of January 68 Personnel have not receive their allowance. We have close to 40 Personnel who have not receive their allowance for Five Months and close to 30 Personnel who have not receive their allowance for Six months. Indeed such is the state of Service Personnel in the upper East Region. Personnel are threatening to lay down their tools and go back home. This is the extent to which the problems within the region has escalated to and in fact it is irreparable unless our allowance are paid

For the month of February, almost all Regions have received their allowance but the Upper East Region is yet to. We must state categorically without mincing words that indeed the Reforms been introduced by NSS have been a major bane towards these challenges that has bedeviled Service Personnel. Our problems are further compounded due to the fact that, National Leadership of NASPA is in disarray due to the interference of the National Executive Directorate of NSS.

Our allowance is what keeps us going and we are demanding for the early release of our allowance else in two weeks time , we shall be hitting the streets of Bolgatanga to pour out our frustration. Enough is Enough....!!!!!!?

Long live Ghana
Long live NSS
Long Live Naspa.
