A release issued by the Ghana High Commission in London and made available to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, said Dr Akoto-Osei made the observation at the launching of a biography of President John Agyekum Kufuor.
The title of the biography is: "Between Faith and History - A Biography of J.A. Kufuor".
Dr Akoto-Osei urged Ghanaians not to forget the state of the economy when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) assumed office in 2001. He said due to the prudent fiscal and monetary policies put in place by the Government, the country's economic fortunes had improved with her import cover being increased from a few days to almost four months.
