Speaking at the primaries, Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister of Communications, told the Party Constituency Executives and the delegates that, after intensive campaign for the election, "we have all settled on one candidate. We, therefore, have to support her to enable her to win the parliamentary elections in December".

He said the Government had contracted billions of dollars of loans, therefore, if the Government initiated a policy that had brought about debt cancellation "we should be grateful for such an initiative."

Mrs Ohene-Konadu expressed her gratitude to the delegates for electing her and promised to work hard to raise the image of women in the Constituency.
