University of Ghana releases land for construction

...of hostel, bungalows Accra, July 26, GNA - The University of Ghana, Legon, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on Monday released 1.2 hectares to a Chinese Construction firm for the construction of a student's hotel and two staff bungalows.

The hostel would accommodate about 240 students. The project, which would commence on August 10, is scheduled for completion within 18 months.

A consultant at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Mr Godred Ntiful, who made the presentation, said the funding would come from 20 billion cedis the Government had voted for the construction of the hostel and bungalows for three universities - University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and University of Cape Coast.
