Avoka retains ticket

GNA

Accra, July 2, GNA - Mr Cletus Avoka, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Bawku West, has appealed to members of the Party to close their ranks, unite and work hard to ensure that the Party maintained its seat in the constituency and to increase its number of votes in Election 2004.

This was contained in a press release Mr Avoka issued in Accra on Friday.

Mr Avoka said he made the appeal after he had emerged winner in the Bawku West Constituency primaries.

He said he promised to work with all, including Mr Sulley Agholisi, a Former Bawku West District Chief Executive, whom he defeated at the primaries.

Mr Avoka said he polled 122 votes to beat Mr Agholisi, who had 94. 2 July 04
