The Future Of Bastiat Ghana

Bastiat Ghana is a free market Economic Think Tank Institute with it mission to empower the growth of micro, small and medium scale enterprises in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

It is a well known and documented fact that, the business community faces severe and dire challenges in their operations which may include economic imbalances, regulatory-oriented problems, a menacing energy supply and so forth. Nonetheless it is the vision of Bastiat Ghana that when celebrating our Silver jubilee, our activities would have caused a mega shift and transformation to the productivity level of micro, small and medium scale enterprise in Ghana and Africa as a whole. Bastiat Ghana is of the positive conviction that, our relentless and diligent operations in micro and small scale enterprise sector will significantly contribute to the burgeoning buoyant African economy we are hoping for. It is our staunchest desire to espouse free market ideologies aimed at creating many opportunities for job creation and job satisfaction as well as job security for the young population of Ghana.

The eventual total transformation of the Ghanaian economy as well as that of Africa would not be an abrupt switch or an overnight miracle. However, Bastiat Ghana believes that, many strides would be covered through comprehensive research and information dissemination on economic developments and policies and provides policy alternatives. One of our aims is to aid in the crafting of moulding of an economically friendly environment for businesses to thrive in the African economic system which has thus far, has been touted as unfavourable economic environment for the domestic business growth. Bastiat Ghana is also aiming at creating an environment for the growth and development of small and medium size enterprises, since they are the backbone for the development of many firmed economies in world.

One of our central visions will always be; to create a platform for new graduate of master's degree and PhD holders whose thesis and dissertations address challenges facing micro, small and medium scale enterprises. An opportunity will be given them to present the new knowledge found through their respective rigorous academic researches, which are of benefit to the business community in Africa and possibly assist in the publication of such scholastic work to the benefit of our people. We believe our future effort will begin awarding scholarship support for Masters and PhD holders who will research into micro, small and medium scale enterprise development in Africa.

The institute believes that if the African continent is described as a land of hope with a very positive promising future, most of its citizens should not abandon it in the name of seeking a greener pasture in Europe. The future of African has not been transparent enough in it journey through economic freedom for it next generation to exercise faith that will commit them to support in building a continent of paradise. Most of our youth view themselves, as living in a state of hell when found at such part of the continent because of economic slavery most of the African leadership making their citizens to go through.

We believe that our new wind of knowledge through critical thinking and advocacy blowing through the continent can restore the lost hope of it youth to support building a better Africa for the next generation. We want them to know you can never take some body's home as yours, “home sweet home”.
