Accra, June 19, GNA - Dansoman Branch scored 521 points to win this year's Pepsi-Cola Datus Complex Schools Games, which ended at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Saturday.
Kasoa Branch came second with 436 points. Bubuashie was third with 304 points, while Tema took the fourth position with 214 points. The two-day games comprising Soccer, Athletics, Volleyball and Basketball, was sponsored by Beverage Investments Ghana Limited, manufacturers of Pepsi Cola.
Mr Joseph Wireko, National Marketing Manager of the Company, said his outfit sponsored the event as part of their social responsibility to the community in which they operate.
He urged the students to be law-abiding and take their lessons seriously. They should also desist from social vices, which hinder academic excellence.
Mr Francis Dowetin, Chief Executive of the Datus Complex Schools, praised the Company for its sponsorship and advised the students to marry academic work with sports so that they could stay healthy at all times. 20 June 04
