Accra, June 16, GNA- The El-Wak Keep Fit Club as part of its annual programme to mark the Republic Day anniversary of Ghana will organise a walk on June 26, to celebrate the Day.
About 35 clubs from the Greater Accra and the Eastern regions are expected to participate in the Walk under the Theme, "Reach out to Aids patients".
The 12 kilometre walk is scheduled to begin at the El- Wak Sports Stadium in the early hours of the day.
From the El-Wak stadium, the participants will go through Palm Wine Junction, La Township, Olympia, and the Osu Police Sation. Other routes included in the walk are through Ako Adjei, Papaye, Danquah Circle with the participants ending at the El - Wak Stadium. In statement signed by Frederick Asamoah, Chairman of the club copied to the GNA Sports, there will be a recovery bus, a police escort and a medical van to provide services to casualties during the exercise. The statement added that officials from the Aids Commission and the Military hospital would also be present. 16 June 04
