Edusei Foundation Supports Otumfuo Charity Fund

The Edusei Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO), has donated GH₵80,000 to support the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Charity Fund in Kumasi, Ashanti region.

The donation forms part of Dr. Kwame Bawuah-Edusei's commitment to youth development and empowerment of women and children.

Kwabena Kwaw Boadu Edusei, a Director of the Foundation said, 'Having tracked the panoply of Otumfuo's work in youth development and women empowerment within the past 15 years and realising that these are in sync with Edusei Foundation's, we deemed it proper to donate GH₵80,000 to support the Otumfuo Charity Fund.'

Receiving the cheque on behalf of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Apagyahene Oheneba Owusu Afriyie IV, commended Edusei Foundation for the kind gesture, appealing to Ghanaians both home and abroad to emulate the Foundation.

Edward Ntim-Addai, Director of Finance & Administration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Charity Foundation, gave the assurance that the donation would be used for the intended purpose.

He further promised to provide details of all projects to the Edusei Foundation.

The Edusei Foundation, founded by Dr. Kwame Bawuah-Edusei and his family, have made several donations to various orphanages and have organized youth workshops in various regions of Ghana, USA and the Diaspora.

The Foundation has also organized youth capacity building workshops in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Edusei Foundation has also cut the sod for the building of a multi-purpose Dr. Kwame Bawuah- Edusei International Center in Bekwai.

The centre will also be used for other commercial activities to help boost the development of the rural areas.
