Kumasi, June 8, GNA - Bahner Seigfried, head coach of King Faisal football club has attributed the club's elimination from the Confederation Cup to his team's lack of experience at international competitions.

"The boys played very well in the two matches against Santos of South Africa yet we failed to utilise and score begging chances, while they lost concentration in the midfield and defence and this cost us the second goal in our game at Cape Town".

Speaking to the GNA Sports in Kumasi at the weekend on the performance of Faisal in the competition, coach Seigfried said, however, that the defeat had served as a lesson to the team and that a lot of friendly international matches had been line dup for the team this year to expose the players to future challenges in international competitions.

He said he had psyched the players up to put the defeat behind them and concentrate on the domestic league.

"We are a very young and determined side that can stand any opposition in this year's league".

Coach Seigfried said all the rough edges in the team would be smoothened, especially the attack and midfield to give the team more bite upfront so as to take every match with the seriousness that t deserves.

He called on all supporters of the team to rally behind the playing body in their quest to win their maiden league title this season. 08 June 04
