President Kufuor appoints five new Ambassadors


Accra, June 7, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor has in consultation with the Council of State appointed five ambassadors-designate.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra on Monday and signed by Mrs Joanna Fosu, Acting Director of Information, Culture and Linguistic Bureau, said Mr Fritz Kwabena Poku is the Ambassador-designate for the United States of America.

It said Mr Francis Alex Tsegah is the Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom of Spain; Mr Idirisu Mohammed Biyira is the Ambassador-designate to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The others are, Mr Frederick Daniel Laryea, Ambassador-designate to Senegal and Dr Kwame Bawuah-Edusei, Ambassador-designate to Switzerland and the United Nations European Office. 07 June 04
