According to Chief Inspector Ben Agbedanu, Dauda on June 2, this year boarded a Taxi from Tema Community three to Sakumono Estates around 5.30 in the morning and informed the driver that he would pick his things at the beach side.
He said when the driver got to the spot he stopped to allow Dauda to put his things into the taxi but as soon as the driver got down to open the boot, Dauda who was then trying to get down, hurriedly sat on the driver's seat and drove the Taxi away.
The driver immediately stopped the next available taxi and gave Dauda a hot chase until he was arrested and handed over to the Police. Dauda however, during police interrogations, admitted the offence and said he was sent by a gang from Ashaiman to snatch any car around that area.
