Ga Traditional Council condemns action of Squatters

Accra, June 3, GNA - The Ga Traditional Council on Thursday condemned the behaviour of squatters at the Kwabenya Landfill site on May 7, this year when the Accra Metropolitan Assembly's (AMA) Chief Executive, Mr Stanley Agyiri Blankson paid a familiarization tour to the site.

A statement issued and signed by Mrs Bernice O. Bempong, Assistant Regional Registrar in Accra and copied to the AMA said the Council was making all efforts to meet landowners to find amicable solution to the problem.

On May 7, this year mayhem nearly occurred at Kwabenya when Mr Blankson visited the site to acquaint himself on the landfill site project.

The people had been protesting against the location of the landfill there.
