NPP Aspirant to unite leaders and youth for development of La

Accra, June 1, GNA - Dr Francis Annan Sowah, aspiring to contest the NPP primaries for La Dadekotopon Constituency, on Tuesday gave the assurance that he would unite opinion the leaders and the youth towards the development of the area if given the mandate to lead the people. He noted that mistrust, misinformation and acrimony were affecting the development of the people and said positive steps must be taken to bring them together for progress.

Dr Sowah was addressing NPP delegates and supporters of the constituency at a together at the weekend at La, where he outlined his programme for the Constituency.

Dr Sowah, who is a legal consultant and Senior Lecturer at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), said there was the need to initiate positive measures to harness the human and natural resources of the area to create employment thereby raising the standard of living of the people.

He said: "we are sitting on gold mines with our tools in our hands, its left with the direction, which I am best among the lot to provide this direction".

Dr Sowah said he would improve education by providing every basic school in the constituency with five computers and textbooks and provide three Internet caf=E9 at vantage points to enable students and the public to access educational information.

Mr Emmanuel Tetteh, campaign manager of Mr Sowah, called on party members to do away with politics of lies and deception so that people with genuine concern for the people could contest for positions in the party.

Mr Tetteh also asked party members to avoid personality attack and advised constituency executives not to become campaign managers for candidates that would be contesting for the primaries to ensure free and fair polls.
