Ghanaian Associations Hold Barbecue Across Toronto

It was all joy when quite sizable number of Ghanaians resident in Greater Toronto Area [GTA] in Canada converged at Malton Picnic Park to have fun by organizing a barbecue on Saturday August 2, 2014.

Apart from getting busy working for a living and partaking in various church activities, members of various Ghanaian community associations based in Toronto, decided to meet at the park and socialize together as one people living in a foreign destination.

At Malton Picnic Park on Saturday, members of the Grace Temple Church and that of Lighthouse Assemblies of God Church, all Ghanaian Churches, held barbecue for members, their families, loved ones and friends to have fun.

Today, at Ross Park on Finch and Dufferin there would be another barbecue for members of the Okuapeman Association of Canada Toronto chapter and that of Ga Dangbe Association of Toronto, also going to share fun side by side.

Mostly at these events there is abundance of cooked Ghanaian dishes such as fufu, rice and beans, red red, or yokogari, banku and stew diewuo, kenkey and fish and many more Ghanaian dishes to enjoy as well as nice soft drinks.

The joy of members attending such events has always been great as they enjoy the nice breeze of the weather and the winds which makes the trees to wave beautifully.

Really the barbecue offers members the opportunity to meet and express love and unity by eating, drinking and playing games as well as share life experiences to teach others about how to make ends meet here in a foreign country.
