Armoured Vehicle In fatal Accident


One person died while several others sustained various degrees of injury when an armoured vehicle of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), grazed the left side of a 207 Benz bus in Accra yesterday.

According to a South African instructor attached to the GAF, who gave his name as Mr. Botes, the driver of the armoured vehicle, who was taking his driving lessons, lost control of the vehicle.

He said although he was in the armoured vehicle directing the driver, he did not see the Benz Bus.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the 37 Military Hospital's mortuary while two persons who sustained serious injuries are on admission at the same hospital.

Ten people on the bus, who sustained minor injuries were treated and discharged at the hospital.
