Aflao police arrest driver's mate

By GNA

Aflao (V/R), May 28, GNA - Nii Narh 28, a driver's mate who stole a Ford bus and drove it to Denu, near Aflao with the intention of selling it there, has been arrested by the Aflao Police.

Mr Baba Moro, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) responsible for crime, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Aflao that on May 6, this year, the driver of the vehicle went to pick it up for business but could not find it at its parking place at Labadi in Accra.

Mr Moro said both the vehicle owner and the driver suspected Narh but could not trace him so they lodged a report with the Police. He said police later had information that Narh was at Denu operating the bus as "trotro" between Aflao and Dzodze while searching for a prospective buyer.

Mr Moro said Police investigation led to his arrest and transfer to Accra with the vehicle. 28 May 04
