Atwima-Kwanwoma Constituency vets two candidates

Trede (Ash), May 26, GNA - Dr Matthew Kwaku Antwi, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Kwanwoma and Deputy Minister of Science and Environment and Dr Appiah Kubi, an Economist, who have filed their nominations to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries for the constituency were last Thursday vetted.

Mr Yaw Yeboah, Constituency Chairman, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency at Trede, said the two contestants have already started campaigning for votes.

He has, therefore, appealed to the supporters of the two contestants to remain calm and to conduct their campaigns in peace, devoid of insults to ensure peace in the Party and in the constituency. Mr Yeboah said the primaries would be held after the Party had vetted all the candidates in the various constituencies.
