The promotion launch which began May 1 is scheduled to end May 31 when a grand raffle will be drawn for the first, second and third winners to take away three million, two million and one million cedis as their prizes.

Two officials from the company's headquarters in Accra, Mr Philip Atim and Mr Peter Andoh, explained the features and workings of the pre-paid card, which they said was economical to use by the average person as it is meant to help people to cut down on their telephone bills.

Four components of the card are available for sale at 15,000 cedis, 25,000 cedis, 50,000 cedis and 75,000 cedis.

Mr J.K. Adjei, Sunyani Area Manager of Telecom, urged the people to take advantage of the benefits that one could enjoy by using the card to cut down on phone bills and for its immense convenience for both local and international calls.

Several members of the public went home with tee shirts and pre-paid cards as their prizes, which they won in a quiz competition.
