NDC Amsterdam Throws Elvis Ankrah Joseph Yamin Under The Hammer
14.07.2014 LISTEN

Members of the NDC Amsterdam Branch, on Saturday 12th July 2014, challenged Ghanaians to name at least 5 (five) projects that has been undertaken by government since the beginning of the year 2014, and be able to elaborate on why they think government deemed it necessary to undertake the project and its benefits to Ghanaians as a whole.

Speaking to cross section of Ghanaians in the Amsterdam area, Interim Executive of the NDC Amsterdam branch disclosed that many of the projects being under-takened by government is getting little or no publicity at all because the opposition NPP Party has corrupted the media by flooding it with useless data, which has some Ghanaians blind to the hardworking men and women in government that are ensuring that the policies and projects for the greater good of all Ghanaians are being implimented.

The Interim Executives commended government for the bold initiatives taken to improve Water supply in the Greater Accra /Eastern Rregions, and efforts to stablize the supply of water to areas like Adenta , Madina, Kwabenya , Ashongman, North/East/West Legon, Ashaley Botwe etc etc and how these projects upon completion would trememdiously improve water supply in Greater Accra/Eastern Region and with plans to improve on water supply in all the other regions of the country by 2016. Water is life, and for the government to see that as priority should be commended and applauded.

Five areas government should be commended on are - Water , Promotion of Ghanaian Industries (Ghana Made Goods), Education, Road Infrastructure and ITC .

The Interim Executives highlighted that it is imperative for Ghanaians to know that government along with other stakeholders are constructing four Reservoirs in Adukrom , Dodowa , Atimpoku and Akorley, which when completed would improve the lives of over 70 communities in the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions, with a roll on to all the other regions of the country.

The NDC Amsterdam branch, stated that Ghanaians must not be fooled by the shrewd tactics used the opposition party and the media's addiction to garbage /half-truths / lies and frabications etc simply because the structures within the media and how information is being disseminated into the public domain has become so corrupted with party-politics that the National Interest of our beloved country is no longer a priority. That is why Ghanains are subjected to a lot of ridicule or belittle-ment to any efforts made by Government to improve lives of the average Ghanaian.

Without mincing words when the issue of Brazil 2014 came up, the Interim Executives were quick to condemn the leadership of Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Joseph Yamin, stating that he indeed lacked the maturity and professionalism needed to successfully execute the mission, because there were notable groups and persons that were ready to offer their expertise to ensure that Ghana was properly represented, instead he handled state affairs like he perhaps would handle his own household. The Team he assembled to undertake Brazil 2014 , were incapable of delivering what he had promised the nation, and that is what led to the poor handling of the mission.

NDC Amsterdam branch, calls on Government to use Brazil 2014 as a case-study, by accounting to Ghanaians what went wrong, and be bold enough to throw the law of the land at those responsible for the embarassment caused to the nation. The former Sports Ministers Elvis Ankrah and Joseph Yamin must both be relieved of all official duties pending the inquiry/investigation into the allegations of corruption and causing financial loss to the State.

We encourage the Government to stand its ground to ensure that faith and credibility is being restored in the good name of our beloved country and sometimes it takes the bitter pill to achieve that, so the opportunity is now for the NDC led Government to lead by example and prove to Ghanaians that no one is above the laws of our nation.

Ghana will heal and to heal we all have to take responsibility for our actions and utterances. The Media needs to purge itself, since it's a major contributor to the fabricated lies and misconceptions/misrepresentation of data, its not everything that is news worthy and that judgement call needs to be taken by professionals within the media that truly understand the meaning of Patriotism .

Lets begin to put Ghana back onto the glory track, lets show the world we can heal, start by supporting MADE IN GHANA products, because after all if you are Ghanaian, then you are MADE IN GHANA.

Long live Ghana, and long live those that have put their lives on the line to ensure that freedom and justice prevails in our country.
