EPP Books presents trophy to Asanteman

Kumasi, April 17, GNA - The EPP Books Services Ghana Limited on Friday presented a giant trophy to Otumfuo Osei Tutu the second, the Asantehene towards the commemoration of the Asanteman 'Adae Kese' and the fifth anniversary of his enstoolment on the Golden Stool.

Mr Gilbrine Adam, Managing Director of the company said that it was also meant to be presented to a winner of a soccer contest to mark the anniversary celebration and suggested that the competition should be organised between Kumasi Asante Kotoko, King Faisal, Obuasi Goldfields and Berekum Arsenal.

Making the presenting, the Managing Director said the trophy was in appreciation of Asantehen's initiatives towards education which goes with sports development in the country.

The Asantehene commended Mr Adam for his contribution towards the development and progress of Asanteman.

He said this was not the first time that the EPP Books had come to support the traditional authority and that the company donated some dictionaries to be distributed to schools when he first launched the Otumfuo Education Fund.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu said information reaching him indicated that the company was in the process of getting more dictionaries to be presented to the fund.

The Asantehene praised the Managing Director for his contribution and said this is a gesture that must be emulated by all.
