Watchmen arrest man suspected to be a robber and hands him to police

Kumasi, April 16, GNA- Two watchmen on Easter Monday arrested a man who attempted to rob a house being occupied by a Lebanese at Danyame.

Kofi Owusu was said to have scaled the wall of the house and succeeded in breaking into one of the rooms but Alhassan Mohammed and Akwasi Mensah, the two watchmen in the house, saw him and raised an alarm and he was arrested.

Chief Superintendent Paul F. Siaw, the Ashanti Regional Crime Officer told the press on Friday that he could, however, not tell whether the man succeeded in stealing anything from the house but said the man arrested has been placed in police custody pending further investigations.
